This month, the following letter from our CEO, Kirstie Thomas, has been sent out with our newsletter to our clients, donors and supporters. Please take a moment to have a read. If you would like to find out more or make a donation please contact us on 01243 828555.
In September, we sent a letter asking you for support to help ensure the future of 4Sight Vision Support, following which we received donations and pledges totalling £16,681. Thank you – we are incredibly grateful to everyone who was able to donate.
But we still need your help. We receive only a small amount of NHS funding towards just our hospital-based services. We are not part of the RNIB. We do not receive any funding from West Sussex County Council. So, we continue to struggle to meet the demand for our other services.
Without your support, we will be forced to reduce those services purely to keep running. As the first Chief Executive Officer with severe sight loss, I have been present for 15 years of change, but this is certainly not one I want to make. Throughout my time here I have personally experienced just how impactful and important our services are to those we support.
However, with your help we can continue. If you become a regular giver, we know what income we will receive each month and can direct this to where it is needed the most.
If you would like to make a difference, please consider giving a regular gift.
On average it costs us £65 a year to support someone. If you were to give just £5.42 a month, roughly the cost of a cup of coffee, you could ensure a person living with sight loss can continue to lead a life without limits. Any gift you can give is greatly appreciated.
Yours sincerely,
Kirstie Thomas
Chief Executive Officer
