
Since the cost of living crisis started in 2022 we know that blind and partially sighted people’s financial challenges have been greatly exacerbated.
With more of our clients being pushed into poverty, having to make impossible decisions about what to cut back on and at increasing risk of a decline in their mental health, access to the correct financial support has never been more important.
We receive a high volume of requests for information around entitlements to benefits and concessions, and then support to access these. One member of our team is trained up to offer advice on these areas, but they do this role alongside another, so there may be a wait before we can help.
Please contact us if you require information about any types of benefits or concessions. The most common support we provide is with Attendance Allowance, Personal Independence Payments and Blue Badge.
