Dr Norman Boyland DL FRSC
Chairman
Norman brings extensive professional experience and strong local sector knowledge to 4Sight Vision Support. His involvement began through the Lieutenancy, which champions local charities, and over many years he has developed a deep understanding of the needs of people living with sight loss and the increasingly competitive funding environment faced by charities.
Professionally, Norman built a career in the pharmaceutical industry, initially in drug development before progressing to senior executive and company director roles. Trained as a scientist, he held responsibility for large teams and oversaw performance across product delivery, finance, strategy, planning and workforce development. As Chair, he provides experienced governance, strategic oversight and a strong focus on organisational sustainability.

Julia became a client of 4Sight Vision Support in 2012 and joined the Board at the end of 2020.
Julia enjoyed a 40 year career focused largely on research, working across sectors including broadcast media (BBC), chartered surveying, financial services and business consultancy.
