New Year’s Resolution To Last Throughout the Year!
As we look forward to 2026, why not make a New Year’s Resolution that will benefit the wider local community and the environment? 4Sight Vision Support (4SVS) runs a recycling scheme, saving many items from landfill, and helping to raise funds for its work supporting those living with sight loss across West Sussex.
The Festive Season can leave us with additional food packaging that can be recycled to raise money: this includes cracker, biscuit and cake wrappers, Pringles tubes, mini cheese nets, bread or bakery plastic packaging (inc. zipper bags, plastic packs and closure tags). All those stamps from Christmas cards can be accepted, plus stamp collections.
The scheme also extends to jewellery and watches, (all any condition or age), old or foreign coins and notes, mobile phones, games consoles, cameras, video cameras, sat navs, iPods, MP3 players and printer ink cartridges (except laser toner cartridges). 4SVS would even love to have your old car, as it works with Scrap Car Comparison to turn old cars into cash!
If you have received a gift over Christmas that really isn’t for you, 4Sight Vision Support would also be grateful for new and unopened Christmas gifts to use as raffle and auction prizes throughout the year.
So please have a think about how a small resolution to recycle can help make a big difference to those living locally with sight loss, and the environment. For full details of items accepted for recycling visit 4sight.org.uk/recycle . Recycling and unwanted gifts can be dropped at Head Office in Victoria Drive, Bognor Regis, or at the charity’s office in the Shoreham Centre, Pond Road, all during normal office hours. For further details, or if your business/club/society/café would like to become a public recycling point, please call the Fundraising Team on 01243 828555 or email fundraising@4sight.org.uk
