On Friday the 7th of June we welcomed some of our amazing volunteers to our Thank You event.

Hosted in The Shoreham Centre, home to our Shoreham Vision Support Centre, we were delighted to be joined by:

Vice Chairman of Adur District Council, Councillor Andy McGregor; Tim Loughton MP & Vice Patron Major Scarse-Dickens.

We were delighted to also welcome from other local organisations that we have a close relationship with our service delivery.

The event began with time to network with other volunteers from across the county, staff and our guests.

Followed by an awards ceremony to celebrate and commend the work the volunteers do to make a difference to people living with sight loss. The category fields were flooded with nominations, so much so that we created a whole new award for 2019 – ‘Volunteer Group’.

The event was highly enjoyed by all and finished with a delicious lunch and further networking.
